Renowned Indian political cartoonist EP Unny presents a unique perspective of Mahatma Gandhi, as a politician who was a subject of cartoonists across the world and as a reader, who consistently engaged with political cartoons and cartoonists. Unny looks at the historic trajectory of Gandhiji’s political life, starting from early political activism in South Africa, moving on to his leadership in India’s freedom struggle. Unny points out that what Gandhiji built up with cartoonists was a system of democratic give and take, which generated vibrant and meaningful discourse. Watch the full presentation here.
