Astha Savyasachi
Astha Savyasachi is an independent journalist with bylines in esteemed publications such as Al Jazeera, TRT World, The Wire, Scroll.in, Himal Southasian and Outlook, among others. Her areas of expertise lie in covering socio-political and human rights issues. For an investigation shedding light on the indoctrination of children in schools run by the RSS, she received The Human Rights and Religious Freedom Journalism Grant awarded by the Indian American Muslim Council. She was also shortlisted for the 2024 Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship in Investigative Journalism. She likes to spend her leisure time reading and writing fiction.
