Padma Shri Sathyanarayanan Mundayur is a Malayalee educationist working in Arunachal Pradesh and the founder of Lohit Youth Library Network in Arunachal. His life mission is to spread the joy of reading among the rural children of Arunachal Pradesh. He has dedicated his entire life to this cause and has established 13 rural mini-libraries in five districts of Lohit and Dibang Valley in the state. Modelled after the trusteeship principle of Mahatma Gandhi and the social empowerment message of Swami Vivekananda, he has built a volunteer network of students who do English storytelling, run mini-libraries, and hold book exhibitions.
