Kamala Nehru Memorial Hospital (KNMH) is a not-for-profit hospital established as the last wish of Kamala Nehru, wife of Jawahar Lal Nehru, in Allahabad. Originally started under the leadership of Kamala Nehru as a modest nursing room to treat the wives of the freedom fighters, this hospital has grown into a Regional Cancer Centre and an excellent speciality healthcare institution. Bridging history and the ethos of equality that the freedom struggle embodied, this hospital caters to the poor and the rich without discrimination.
