Oh to be a Cattle in my city!

“Oh, to be a cattle in my city!” A photo story by Shaista Banu on the irony of living in a place where cattle move freely, while women still search for safety.

And hang out in the middle of the road, With my girls,

Chewing cud, Dissing traffic

Have bikes manoeuvre their Way around me,

And not charge at me, To scare me,

Soak in the sun, Amidst a shower of flowers,

Eat all the trash I want,

An endless supply!

Gossip on street corners, Nary a care in the world,

Afternoon siestas on the footpath, Il doche far niente,

Of course being worshipped Also helps,

As does not having to go to office, Thank you very much

Well, Oh to be a cattle in my country,

And walk through it , safe and sound
