Manjula Bharathy
Manjula Bharathy is a professor and former dean at School of Habitat Studies, TISS. Manjula has been a member of a central advisory committee on Panchayati Raj and an expert committee on decentralised planning for areas under the Sixth Schedule. She has authored several books and her articles have appeared in national and international journals. Manjula has been invited to deliver lectures at London School of Economics and universities in Toronto, Rosario, California, New Jersey, Florida, Carolina, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Areas of expertise include Gender studies, decentralised planning, local governance, climate change and social vulnerability, urban studies, media and cultural studies.
