‘Déjà vu- Where the past meets the future’ is a documentary directed by national award-winning film-maker and scientist Bedabrata Pain. It is a “time travel” audio-visual documentation that shows how agriculture and small farmers were literally crushed by the so called agrarian reforms implemented in the USA four decades ago. Pain and his team were inspired to carry out this painstaking documentation spanning several months and large parts of the US when they witnessed the struggle of Indian farmers against the Narendra Modi regime’s farm laws.
